The third of four children and an introvert from the start, Jason Tesar grew up as an imaginative "middle child" who enjoyed the make-believe world as much as the real one, possibly more. I stumbled upon the Awakened series when I first got my Kindle and saw the first book was free... needless to say, I have bought EVERY book since then and I've reeled in my co-worker hook, line and sinker! we constantly stalk Jason's facebook page to see when the next book will arrive! I normally go for the romance or murder mystery novels, but The Awakened series caught my attention and now I'm deeply enthralled. Kael continues to grow his powers in this next installation and his reunion with Adair starts off rocky but slowly winds up smooth once they realize how to approach their renewed relationship. This book, like all the others, has posed to be a roller coaster ride for my emotions lol. I get happy, mad, sad, shocked and wowed at every turn. The few editorial errors I saw seem to be irrelevant considering everything that was going on with the story. With Jason's attention to detail, I was able to place myself in the story and enjoy the ride all the way to the end. I recommend this book, and all the precursors, to any and all people who love sci-fi/military books or to those who want to try something a little different from their norm. I doubt you'll be disappointed!!! (if you are, then clearly you don't know a great story and characters when you see one)

Another tidbit, These are now available in physical form, not just digital. For those that prefer the smell and feel of an actual book.

I really like the series. It's non-stop action and nicely developed. This book is good except I felt their were inconsistencies between the powers of the fallen angels. Rameel put up a great fight. He had other worldly powers. I'm not seeing that at all with the bad guys in this book which seems inconsistent and is a let down. Besides that, it really is a wonderful book.

This is such as awesome series. I got the first as a free book and got interested in the author's story of how he came to write it. When I started the series I became excited for the next installment. To be honest, these books are deliciously designed to hook you and keep you wanting more. It does NOT drag out anything but keeps you turning that page until you run out of pages and then you say "where's the next one? I can't wait!" Start with book 1 and keep going until you get to this one and then wait with bated breath until he finishes #6. He also is starting a prequel to this series and I like that one even better!

This is worth the read and while some beloved characters are lost some of the lesser known characters seem to rise up and take a more dominant position in this epic story telling. Everything is not as it seems and you'll be left guessing who is who and who is on what side. Below explains why I'm not able to go more in depth about this specific book.

I was once again forced to read endlessly as I heard book 6 was soon to be released. About a week before book 6's release I picked up book 4 and 5. I then read in every free moment I had knowing that 6 would be purchased the second it was released. As a result Book 4 and Book 5 seem to run together and are more of a combined edition in my head.

This book is another great addition to the series. As an avid Tolkien reader and fan, I have searched for years to find a series that would excite me like The Lord of the Rings. I first found that series with the Inheritance cycle by Chrostopher Poalini and now I have found it again with the Awakened series. Tesar is to me one of the greats.

This book does not disappoint. It is just as good as the first four. I am amazed that I continue to be fooled and surprised by the twist and turns of this story. Once again I am left anxiously awaiting the next book in the series! I highly recommend this book and series to anyone looking for an epic read!

I love how the two series come together and take you from the beginning of time until the current time period and through multiple plains of existence. It is wonderful mixture of Sci-fi, Religious Fiction and Action. I anxiously await the next book in the series.

Great read. Can you write faster? You don't really need sleep you know and your family will be fine if they dint see or hear from you for a while. Also food and drink do you really need to stop writing to consume them. Thanks to modern technology and it's ability to save you labour, I see no reason why you can't write 24 hrs a day. I have read all the Awakened series and Jason has some talent in story telling, from book one (which is free) I was hooked and couldn't wait to start the next one. Awakened 5 brings us into our world and gives us a mix of since fiction meets modern SAS type warfare and a few twists on the way. I would love these books to become a film or a TV Series, brilliant.
