Several years ago I posted a blurb to several Yahoo Groups representing several cities in Mexico. In the post I used the term expatriate in reference to Americans living in Mexico. One gentleman took offense. He replied to the post that he was not an expatriot just because he lived in Mexico. He went on to state that he loved his country and that he was still a Patriot.
