| David had a dilemma. Samuel had prophesied that he would be king of Israel, yet he found himself running for his life, being chased by the same king who just a short while before honored him as a hero. Now he was forced to make an allegiance with the enemy of God’s people. To add insult to injury, the town he lived in was attacked by another enemy who took everything he and his men owned; including their families!
